Vote For The Most Outstanding Christian Governor In Nigeria

In pursuance of our core objective of showcasing men and women of faith and sharing their victories in their walk with God, we are conducting a poll to determine The Most Outstanding Christian Governor in Nigeria.

Four governors have made the final shortlist. These are:

Godswill Apkabio, Governor, Akwa Ibom State

Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, Governor Rivers State

Jonah Jang, Governor, Plateau State

Peter Obi, Governor, Anambra State

They were nominated based on their delivery of massive infrastructural and human capacity development projects in their states. They also scored relatively high on good governance, integrity and due process in the award of government contracts; their walk with God, family life and contribution to the church in their states.

The main goal of this poll is to identify and celebrate excellent Christian leaders to the end of motivating all Christians holding public office to serve with integrity and be the salt of the earth and the light of the world as instructed by our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

We will do this by identifying and celebrating excellence in leadership and good governance and by encouraging and inspiring Christians holding public office to serve with integrity and be the leaders that God has called them to be.

When Christians serve with integrity at whatever station they find themselves, they bring glory to God. "In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven" (Matthew 5:16).

The poll commences from 6 – 16 February 2014. The governor with the most endorsements will be announced on this blog on the 20 February 2014.
